How embarrassing and stupid

The pastor of my church was preaching a former church goers funeral, and a guy stands up and yells "there is no God". His family that was with him yelled at him and made him leave. How disrespectful to the family of the deceased. If that person didn't like what was being preached, he should have walked out to a bathroom or something

Yeah, that's pretty shitty. Some people just want the attention.
My wife and I are both Atheists and we would never do anything like that. Hell, neither of our families even knows that we're Atheists.

Had a weird experience like that with my Mother in law.
The preacher told stories from the family, but got the names wrong, got stories wrong, just really did a bad job, then went on about a story, that was about him and his wife, completely missing the plot of this being about the husband, his family, etc.
So Preacher comes to console the MIL, and she tells him to get the hell away from her, that he ruined the service, and go away.
I was kind of shocked at what to say, i understood her being upset at him, but was that the time? Didn't judge, but it left a weird moment for everyone in audience.
