Bet his face gets heat pressed on people’s white t-shirts like Soulja Slim. Because he inevitably got shot.

To actually answer the OP's question, her biggest boost in popularity was when Selena Gomez mentioned her/her music in an Instagram post.

She didn’t mess up the National Anthem?

So we all live in the “land of the REEEEEEEEE”? I really like her but I thought her rendition of the national anthem was horrendous.

Ain’t gonna lie, I thought her rendition was pretty bad too.

He’s referencing the time she explained, in erotic detail, how she wanted my penis in her mouth and what she intended to do with it while there.

I had never heard of her when she was about to sing the National Anthem. But, I am so convinced every singer will butcher the song I changed the channel before she started singing. It's my default move to never listen to a psuedo-celebrity sing because they all try to win a Grammy with their own "artistic interpretation". So have no idea if she did well or not.

She could’ve been much worse at it but her talent level is at a 500 and her rendition of the anthem was at a 90 in my opinion. She is talented enough to have done MUCH better.

Rouge he is probably one of these legalistic people that was clutching his pearls when Lauren promoted her album on Ellen (the show).

Even though Lauren had actually met Ellen long ago when Lauren was on American Idol.

I’m probably an ahole but she comes across as one of those hipster borderline hippie girls who post cliche Bible verses on their Facebook to get attention while at Bonnaroo

I feel the same about you, since I don't know you.

You're pretty close to judging, though. I'll tell you she is a genuine person and I think she is really a christian but I've had the benefit of sort of seeing her grow up. I don't know her directly but my kids kind of do.

What was the specific thing she said? She takes to heart the scripture Proverbs 15:1 "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." so I wonder if that is what was going on. As Christians, we should be thoughtful of throwing out verbal bombs. Different situations call for different approaches.

Honestly, her singing style does not lend itself well to the national anthem. I thought she did fairly well but it did not really showcase her tremendous vocal talent.

I think it is great that she is reaching so many people outside the usual Christian music fandom with her music.

Nonbelievers will listen and like her music and who knows what will be stirred in them from it?

Her behavior, imo, is an excellent example of how Jesus calls us to love our neighbors. She just seems like a woman that is truly filled with a genuine joy.
