With my friends—Luzy-ann-a
At a job interview—Lou-we-z-anna

Also, it depends on the city. If referring to Alexandria, I’m more likely to say Luzy-Anna. If New Orleans, probably Lou-Weezy-Anna.

Lou ease e anna

Redneck from Lincoln Parish

I've been gone for 30 years and have done work in 30 states, everyone I meet ask me if I'm from Mississippi "or something".

Never could loose my accent

To pronounce it "Lose E An A", is either dumb arse red-neck, or deflammatory arse-hole. F'them, it's my Louizeanna! Regardless of the worst state in many stats. It will always be my state, that I'm forever proud of, regardless of the negative

Some of you people concern yourselves with the weirdest shite. Who gives a frick how someone pronounces the name? "Louziana" sounds stupid, but half of the residents of our state sound/are uneducated anyway. Hell, look at the prevalence of "baw".

Baw=Louziana

Agreed, but I get the Texas thing. I'm originally from Richland. It's just the way I talk

I’d like to amend my earlier comment. Anyone proclaiming themselves to be McNeese fans, should also be ridiculed, and then ignored.

Anybody who uses more than four syllables is a hipster, a yankee, or both.

First off, no one is “concerned.” It was just a simple survey. Just conversation. Don’t act like you’re above the non college educated people of LA because you went to high and mighty Mcneese
