Nothing you can do about the "explorers" as I call them. They don't really do the damage.

Just make sure your house and property is treated well and the real bad hombres of the termite clan won't start burrowing and destroying your shite.

They're bad at my mother's in Slidell. Thankfully the house was built with cedar

I go in the back yard and pull the trigger on 10 of these at one time and by the time its all over with the haze has killed every bug & termite for two blocks. Just make sure you do it at 1:30 to 3 AM in the morning so the neighbors don't know what you did.

They'll still eat cedar. Not their first choice, but after its weathered down and softened, they will definitely do it if they have to.

My neighborhood is surrounded by a trench (looks like a dry mote) and we paid some landscaping crew to fill it with mulch and trees/shrubs. Well, that was a bad idea apparently as now it is a 30 ft wide, half mile long termite paradise

I been finding a few dead ones here and there, mostly in bathrooms and near exterior doors. Talked to a pest control buddy of mine and he told me that finding a few dead ones during swarm season is OK, but if I start finding a bunch that are still alive that I should be concerned.

Turning off all my exterior lights and keeping as few lights as possible inside helps. Let them all swarm to my neighbor's house since he leaves the porch light on.

Swarm season just sucks.

I've noticed my citronella plants and candles on my porch stop every other annoying bug, but termites are unphased.

I've never noticed them swarming to my lights, that's interesting. The swarms have mostly stopped, but next year I will remember that.

I'm sure they've got better options

We have a really long cedar fence around some farm property and termites fricking annihilated about 50 yards of it. The pest guy said they'll eat it if they have to.

I had them this year in my basement. Its a full basement that I have a shop in where I work everyday.

I had my home treated to make sure none stayed. Those little bastards were everywhere.. Ive been here 20 years and never had a single one till now.

When its your turn, just deal with it and get it treated
