I'm guessing mostly online advertising and old people and doctor's offices that still subscribe to them.

They tossed expensive but experienced adults when things started falling apart and now hire people out of college that work cheaply.

That's been a shrapnel effect of the Internet.

There isn't enough money in print to pay good people so we get the untoward influence of know it all 25 year olds that are still in their idealistic phase.

The only two prints I still read are Garden and Gun Magazine and Gambit weekly.
I stare at a computer screen all day so I like to read a print copy of these two while sitting on the porch having drinks

I remember when the Shreveport paper had a large classified section with cars and trucks in sections by make. The Honda section might have 12 to 20 cars listed.

Now the classifieds don't fill a page. They do have a page or two of small ads for handymen, lawn services, etc, but all that classified money is gone gone.

Meanwhile, the paper keeps getting smaller and the monthly price goes up.

It used to be that almost every driveway in our neighborhood would get a paper. Now it's about 10 percent.

Yep. Business Report has a revolving door of young employees. Also, have you seen the amount of ads in these publications? Clearly, businesses are still purchasing ads.

BIC Magazine is basically one massive advertisement.

Business report survives by all the advertisements in 225. Any of you guys ever seen how many damn advertisements are in that magazine per page? I've counted. 5 advertisements per page.

As for the Advocate, the obituaries pretty much keep that place afloat.

Classified was the bread and butter for the newspaper business. i don"t care what some newsroom hack says... It was crazy papers were printing money... Craigslist was the start of the death shutters of the paper business. There was still auto advertising but when obama ran and papers backed him that was it......
