My roommate has undergone a "born-again" transformation of sorts and has decided to get baptized once more. He has invited me to attend, but I honestly just don't have any inclination to do so.

It's on Sunday morning, the day I get to sleep in, and at a non-denominational church that is a bit out there when it comes to their services.

He and I aren't lifelong friends by any means, so I don't feel like some spiritual occasion like this warrants my presence.

Just be honest and tell him you don't want to go.

Just be selfish and blow it off. That is what I used to do when I was in my early 20s. I was a really shitty friend at times

Be respectful and wish him well, but say that you can't attend

Tell him Game of Thrones comes on that night and you have to mentally prepare for what is going to happen.

Tell him you'll meet him there.

Then don't.
