Went to high school with her. She moved away for 10 years and came back. We ran into each other at a New Years party in 2014 and had a New Years kiss and I got rejected after that. 6 months later a few texts in between I was at a party she was at and sealed the deal. Asked her to marry me 8 months later and she's regretted ever since.

Not long after I came home from the army I had a BBQ one weekend. I'd invited a buddy from my new job and he brought his girlfriend, sister, and cousin (the three girls were all best friends). Me and the cousin hit it off. Spent the night talking. And when I say we spent he night talking, I mean we watched the sun come up together. I knew that morning she was the one. Had no doubt in my mind. In fact it freaked me out and I hesitated to ask her out because I knew as soon as I did we'd end up getting serious and I wanted to stay single. I ended up asking her out a few weeks later. Within about two months we were engaged, and married the following July. That was almost 21 years ago and I've not regretted it for one second.

We were both in the lab for several days working on this huge BS stoichiometry and mass spectrometry project that was worth a third of our final grade.
She'd agreed to have drinks with me to celebrate once we finished.
So I basically did her entire project for her to get the real show on the road.
