It kept showing up in the search results whenever I’d google anything from restaurant reviews to mechanics to sex stuff.

It's a tale oft-told round the campfires... An article in 225 magazine mentioned BatonRougeRocks.com (does that still exist?). I went there and saw a poster mention "this other site I go to".
I probably lurked here at least a couple of months. I never intended to post (too much effort to register) but another poster -- I won't say who it was, that would be bad Karma -- said something about Monty Python that was so wrong I had to join to correct him. I was one of those rare creatures whose first post was on the M/TV Board.
Then I moseyed on over to the OT -- And the rest is history...
I probably lurked here at least a couple of months. When saban started recruiting like a madman in br is when I found this site. Saban pretty much is the big reason td started getting big.

Going into highschool I was hooked in recruiting after nick saban's first recruiting class and was always on tigerbait and dandydon. I remember watching jimmy ott recruiting show he had on Sunday nights on channel 10 or something like that. I typed lsu recruiting on yahoo and tigerdroppings popped up. I was a long time lurker till few years ago I decided to make a username.
