The issue is it's not that you can assume people haven't tried to or haven't broken into the market it's just that juggernauts don't fall to startups. Companies that have likely started doing well in market share were bought out it happens constantly and we see it constantly from bigger companies like Google etc. they see the hot new thing and devour it before it's a real concern. It's better for them to eat the cost of a buyout than it is to share their plate long term.

I'm confident I understand a lot of things better than you. But don't let that stop you from having to try so hard to convince people you know everything. It's every thread, Bubba. You have quite the complex.

Fair enough, but I am curious why YKK's monopoly on the market seems to fly under the radar. I guess no one rally thinks of zippers much.

This guy understands the big picture...

Since you've paid attention the threads I speak the most on are typically the same subjects. More often than not I ask for information not give it.
Thanks for your opinion on my psyche though!

I'd assume it's not as under the radar as we think and that they've had a lot of companies in countries like China where wages are low compete but that company is publicly traded and they decide it's better to buy out than try to keep them at bay.
Zippers just aren't that exciting so we don't get the news report about them like we do when Google spends a billion for some new app for teenagers that dies in a year.
I think it's like you stated that we just don't think about it but it's minds like yours that started that competing company and got the 200 million pay day to be bought out for simply opening a factory and getting a deal with old navy

Successful people do not talk down to others on a message board. They are too busy being winners.
Unless.....
Holy shite. My apologies, president-elect Trump

I literally just a left a thread about a football throwing contest where you decided to be a condescending prick right off the bat. You didn't just simply disagree. You had to insult the poster as much as possible, while also trying to imply that you knew more about... What? Throwing a football? Football throwing contests?

I put them down for them putting down people trying to win something and id dive into your opening statement but you'd get to use that against me despite all the evidence in the world against it.
My condescending nature in this thread was unwarranted I'll admit that I'm a few drinks deep and feisty
Your posts are all about how I present information but never arguing against it? .
Either way love this forum and all of y'all in it regardless of opinion and views you guys make meetings that should have been emails tolerable.

You should bring your keyboard to the shop. The comma button appears to be broken.

I only use TD on mobile and I'll openly admit I'm too lazy and care too little to format properly and use grammar as applicable.

Don't care about grammar or spelling, but I can't handle not knowing where one thought ends and the other begins.

The zipper lobby is an 11th toe of the NWO which ensures the buyouts aren't reviewed by the Feds. It's fairly common knowledge and is explained in detail in the movie Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Right. Because every intro to principles of micro course covers the specific business history and market strategy of this one particular industry and company. So many people betray their ignorance of a subject by their perception of the simplcity of it.
