I don't want this to get political but I know it will and I know I'm about to see a flurry of posts about how bird flu will become a pandemic right before the election blah blah.

This is a real potential threat IMO. COVID was crazy when it first came out but it killed old and sick people.

Flu pandemics are dangerous for kids and younger people.

It seems like this is just flying under the radar. First birds, then ferrets, cows, now housecats. Seems like it's a matter of when not if this gets crazy.

There's no way we'll ever shut down again, but I do wonder what will happen.

So you don't think it poses any risk at all to you or your family's health?

Covid was a test. The government just gathered an insane amount of data on how much the American people will comply. How many took the vaccine? 75% of the country? If "they", the deep state, wants to shut shite down, they will do exactly that like they did during the "two weeks to flatten the curve" in March of 2020.

So Trump was behind that? I swear to god it’s insane how stupid we are as a society. The dumb shite people believe on this site is downright scary.

No, the shite they will push to "protect" folks from bird flu will be way more dangerous.

Baw, turn off the MSM and go outside and touch some grass. All will be fine.

Until it becomes transmissible from person to person, 0%. When it does, 5% because flu vaccines (legit inactive virus vaccines) exist and it'd be extremely easy to produce one for this strain.

It's not great that it's circulating in mammals, but the good thing is that we already have a stockpile of vaccines, and more can be made relatively quickly (150m doses in six months). I can understand people's apprehension about the covid vaccines, but I wouldn't want to frick with bird flu without a vaccine.
