Hattiesburg is def gang infested. GD's, Vice Lords, Simon City Royals are all there and throughout the Pinebelt and really all over Mississippi. The GD's and Vice Lords originated in Chicago decades ago and a lot of poor families migrated from there to the Delta. Not recently but decades ago. This is how Mississippi became infiltrated. Then it just spread over time from there all throughout the state

BR and NOLA have always had neighborhood gangs in my lifetime. It seems like a large gang could come in and set up shop, particularly in BR where the gang activity is concentrated in 3 or 4 areas

Not me man. I read yesterday that Boise had 1 murder in 2015 despite having a similar sized metro to BR. Trying to convince the wife to fit the kids for jackets and beanies right now
