But this would be exactly where it would be headed. Just like the western states that have legalized it.

You can not give people in our society that kind of allowance and expect them to use it as meant to be.

Yeah, I'd probably take 101 anyways. Better drive.

Now it makes no difference to me personally but I do know it helps people who use it medically. If I ever need it, I hope it’s around for me use.

Do you now how many deaths are caused everyday by drunk drivers? How about how many DUI's are given out in the USA every year?

Like I stated above. I just got back from Colorado to see a concert and 90% of the people there were firing up like crazy. And everyone of them drove home after. My wife and I were laughing our arse off at how many times some of the people around us were firing up.

Plus we visited the Dillan Reservoir area that morning and two guys were blazing up at the bus stop at 9:00 in he morning waiting for a bus. Probably to work

Damn right. Like a fish. But I do not drink and drive.

Plus, me siting at dinner having a drink does not inconvenience the people around me like smoking does.

Not sure what you are getting at but if you are asking me if I drink and get drunk, the answer is in my sig line

You cannot pass blanket legislation on something with a basis that people will break the law.

Again look at alcohol as a prime example. Should alcohol be illegal because someone might drink and drive?

You could make this argument about anything in the world.

Make painkillers illegal because people might take them and drive...

See how this goes? People need to learn to overcome their biases and look at things objectively.

Don’t care, but I’m guessing Marlboro would be the biggest weed company if it ever got legalized. The “bud light” of weed. Many other “microbreweries” (keeping with the beer analogy) would offer a higher quality product at a much higher price.

Prime example lol.

Too bad if you drink responsibly, alcohol is now ILLEGAL because others drink and drive.

I really hope you see the irony here....

There's not much value in high grade pot as it is. As soon as more states legalize it'll become cheaper.

People in legal states won't be shipping to other states as much as they are now.

Cant. It's illegal and I'd be breaking the law.

You should care because it's government overreach.

If you believe in a small, conservative gov then scheduled MJ goes directly against that narrative.

By the way, chances are you'd enjoy it if you tried it...

There is no irony. I don't think Drinking is good for me or anyone else. Im not saying drinking should be legal and blazing should not be. Drinking is legal so I do it. But so do millions of others irresponsibly which is why there are so many deaths from it

Im just saying do we really want to add another substance in there on top of what we already can not handle.

IF you want to smoke weed, I really don't care. I just don't want to smell that shite every where I go. Already stated that many times. I am certainly not advocating for drinking. Long way from it

Totally agree but where do we stop? If a study comes out that says Cocaine can help with something do we start selling that too? I totally get what your saying but releasing pot medically will quickly turn to recreationally. I think that is pretty easy to see.

Im sure a huge portion of the advocates for legalization are either financially interested or just wanting to get high. Has nothing to do with the medical benefits.
There is no system that will make it safe

Both.

I would still support it if I didn't use it. Same as I support cigarettes being legal even though I can't stand the smell.

Can't regulate based on personal preference. You wouldn't want someone else telling you what you can and can't do just because they don't like it.
