How about when Steve Rannazzisi lied about being in the South Tower on 9/11

He only admitted to it and apologized when a reporter dug into his story. What kind of attention issues must one have to continually tell such a ridiculous lie?
quote:
In 2009, Rannazzisi told the Marc Maron podcast that “I was there and then the first tower got hit and we were like jostled all over the place. I still have those falling dreams.”
quote:
In 2011, Rannazzisi provided further details, telling the Sklarbro Country podcast that he had received a generous severance package from Merrill Lynch, adding: “I’ve spoken about it before … I just don’t ever want to feel like, anyone, I am cashing in or anything like that.”
In fact, Rannazzisi had never worked for Merrill Lynch.
quote:
“After I moved with my wife to Los Angeles from New York City in 2001 shortly after 9/11, I told people that I was in one of the World Trade Center towers on 9/11. It wasn’t true. I was in Manhattan but working in a building in midtown and I was not at the Trade Center on that day.
“I don’t know why I said this. This was inexcusable. I am truly, truly sorry. For many years, more than anything, I have wished that, with silence, I could somehow erase a story told by an immature young man. It only made me more ashamed. How could I tell my children to be honest when I hadn’t come clean about this?”

This totally reminds me of that "Woman Who Wasn't There" documentary thing about the woman that claimed a fiance lost in all of this, that never really existed...

both were funny in small amounts but became too overused in later seasons

Reminds me of the Norm Macdonald joke
I walked through blood and bones in the streets of Manhattan looking for my brother...
He was in northern Canada.

I wish FX would bring back the show. Mark Duplass, Nola Jesuit grad, has moved on to bigger and better things. The rest of the cast seem like they all need work.

Was it canceled or just ended?
I feel like I see a bunch of those guys in a lot of shite now
Nick Kroll is in a ton of shite.
The only one who seems to “need work” is the guy this thread is about
