4 dead including the TPOS suspect. It's believed he was recently evicted from the complex.

Yes. That’s standard to put an officer involved in a shooting on paid administrative leave while the shooting is investigated. Having said that, this investigation should last about 5 minutes.

Not just investigate. Justified or not. He shot a guy. Killed someone. I think I’d want a day or two to decompress or puke or talk to somebody.
Again. Straight up justified by what’s being reported. But still I think I’ll hang out at Casa De Alum for a couple days.
