No, a deduction from what you are taxed on. Lets say I make $10,000 and it cost me $1,000 for the cameras. I am now taxed on $9,000 instead of the $10,000. This is very simplified.

Here's a novel idea: how about arresting, convicting and imprisoning criminals? All without turning business owners into Big Brother accomplices or trampling people's constitutional rights?

Easier said than done? Seems like such a silly thing to talk about constitutional rights when it comes to surveillance. You're already being recorded & seen more than you realize. Did you see that other thread about the guy who got shot in the back of the head at a random seafood & wings restaurant in Atlanta? They got it on surveillance video.

The woman in NYC who was murdered & body was found in a bag on the sidewalk. They caught the guy dragging the bag on surveillance video.

Private businesses and/or residents willingly give their surveillance to aid police in solving crimes.

This is how it has worked for years.

Not forcing businesses to do it.

frick straight off;

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

And not a single arrest has been made. Guess extra surveillance isn’t nearly as effective as arresting, convicting, and imprisoning.
