Doesn't it kind of defeat the purpose of house shoes if you wear them outside?
I only wear house shoes inside to keep my feet warm and comfortable without having to worry about them being dirty from the outside.

I just read a review of slippers at TheSweetHome.com, and the winner was the Haflinger AT, about $90. They have a rubber sole for going outside, or you can get a model that is indoor-only for $20 less.
They are supposed to have the best arch support of any slippers.
I'm thinking about getting a pair. Wish a store around here had them so I could try some on.

I've had these for a few years and they've held up incredibly well. Structure is good- back hasn't gotten loose and they're warm. Outside is completely wool and they have a rubber sole- I wear them outside all the time. Woolrich is a pretty solid brand in PA. Lots of great winter stuff

I have a pair of Ugg slippers... the ones with the lambs wool liner? Fantastics...

Woolrich slippers are the absolute best, and I've had a few different brands. Timeless, warm, and super comfortable. Bought my current pair for $40
