This works. Give it a day or two and you'll have a hundred dead little frickers in there. Put fresh mix out each day and in about three or four days they'll be pretty much wiped out.

Cluster flies most likely. Look for some old food in a corner behind the trash etc.

Use fly paper to get rid of them. They stay on the windows usually. If you don't find the source you are gonna be dealing a week. I found an old pizza crust that slid behind my pulllout trash can. Got it out and rid of them overnight

I'm having an issue with drain flies currently. My MIL told my wife it'd be a good idea to leave fruit peelings in the disposal for fragrance... so now I'm dealing with this nonsense. I have some organic drain solution sitting in all the drains in my house currently. Going to leave it sitting overnight. Hopefully it works because they are annoying as hell.

Put vineagar in a cup with a lid and make 4 or 5 small holes in the lid. It works pretty well against fruit flies.

Go catch a frog. Let him lose to eat said flies.

Fry up frog legs later

How often do you take out your trash? I've had this problem a few times and it seems like the trash is where they are at, at least for me. After about 3-4 days of the trash not being changed (don't use a lot of trash), they start to pop up. Now I've changed the trash bags out every 3 days max and no more problems.

Maybe this is the problem, but I know when I open the trash can (out door one), there are usually a TON of grub worms all on the lid in in the garbage can. This is the only thing I can think of for me. ALso when cooking some foods, I notice that they like to stay around the entrances of the house and like to come in when you open the door. I guess they smelling that good food and get hungry themselves.

I'm having the same problem, just started a few weeks ago. If they're not green, and slower than normal, they are cluster flies. They breed in ground and get inside through tiny cracks. Easy to kill with swatter, they gather in windows where sun comes in. I still haven't figured out how to get rid of them. They're seasonal, and I think you can treat your yard for them. They leave on their own, don't breed or lay eggs inside. Vacuum them up with a vacuum hose if you have one. Spray them with pesticide. Wait for the season to end.

That's all I got.

You have something dead in your house.

Not necessarily. If you read up on it, you'll see, something dead in house or wall, big green tinted flies. Cluster flies breed and hatch outside, then come in. They are slower and much easier to kill. Totally different markings, and more seasonal. They migrate to windows and are actually trying to get out.
