Why is there such a long pause when changing channels? Every hotel I've ever stayed in this seems to be a trait.

I rarely watch TV at hotels, but the one time all I could do was watch TV (it was at the casino in Marksville. I got sick, that place sucks) the hotel still had tube TVs (this was 2 or 3 yrs ago)...
