A friend of mine was in Academy on Airline the other day when three known shoplifters walked in and left with hand-fulls of merchandise.
Company policy evidently dictates that employees are not to interfere with shoplifters due to liability reasons.

Besides being shot or punched in the face, what good would come out of her confronting these two idiots. Home Depot has cameras all over the store and parking lot and it’s their problem. Rational people would not have done what this lady did.

Putting it on social media presents pressure to local law enforcement to make an arrest. I mean if Home Depot doesn't care about shoplifters, why should the police? I'm not saying because HD doesn't care that the police shouldn't do anything but if they are backed up with other crimes as well then I could easily see how they would focus more on other stuff. Hopefully her actions will make Zachary PD do something.

If she wants to be a FB hero. She could have been less obnoxious and more discreet about the entire situation. If something would have happened it would have been a HD issue.

I already said basically I would not have been as obnoxious as her, but I am glad she had the gall to do it. Like someone else said, it seems like there were a few people around her too so maybe that's why she isn't worried.

Yeah, like charge Home Depot for them to have to come out and make a report. Zachary PD is constantly bitching about Zachary Walmart and their theft problem to the point where over half of the calls in Zachary come from Zachary WalMart. ZPD was looking to start charging Walmart for all the trips they have to make there...kinda like when my home security alarm used to trip by itself. EBRSO had to come to my house multiple times and then I received a bill in the mail from them.

I am ok with this. Maybe have a certain number of calls a year for anyone, you abuse the police on phone calls and you get charged. A.) It would put more money in the pockets of the police departments B.) Maybe companies like walmart and HD will change their stupid policies on not doing anything about theft.
