Oh man, I remember seeing that every day.
Used to go down bluff road to get to work.

I always wondered what it was all about. I always honk my horn. Good stuff.

Also, KEEP HONKING. Those kids get so excited every time they hear a honk!

Ive been driving this stretch for several years now and I cant recall ever seeing the boys. Over time I have stopped honking as I pass figuring Dan and Jake were no longer there. I never new their story, just saw the sign.
I will start honking again. Glad this thread was started.

ETA: What time do they get up in the mornings? I pass early and would hate to wake them up

Posts like this are why I can’t quit this site. I’ve wondered about that sign for years. Thanks for asking

Yeah, man I don’t live in Br anymore. I wish I would’ve known why. I would’ve honked.
I thought it was an inside joke or something.

I pass that sign 10 or 12 times a week. I will start honking when possible.

I'm glad I found this thread. I've started driving down Bluff Rd recently and wondered about the story behind this. I've honked every time I've passed it, and it's good to know I'm not harassing people

Here you go. This is their mom's Facebook page.

That is a great find mikelbr.

I wish I lived in the area and could give them a honk.

This is why I love Tigerdroppings. You can always find out information on here you can't find anywhere else. I drive down Bluff often and haven't honked in a while as I haven't seen the boys. That is going to change now.

Thanks

I just went on Google and searched for “honk for Dan and Jake“ which ended up being the exact title of this thread. It was the only search result that popped up so I’m glad it was posted here previously

Side notes there is an older man that rides his handicap scooter down bluff road. I have seen him a few times early in the morning in the curve. The scooter can’t go more that 5 mph. I’m not sure where he is going but it is a death trap.

Haven't encountered him in a long time but always scares the shite out of me. If he hasn't been hit, I don't know how.

My coworker saw him on that fricking scooter somewhere off the highland exit one day. So he had went all the way down Bluff AND Perkins to one of those gas stations by home depot

That dude has been spotted several times in traffic on Highland like he's on a motorcycle or something.
