here is a list of some of the ridiculous "remedies and ingredients" LINK
Berlin Wall: I think you can work out what this once is made from. Suffering from TERROR? Well, this is the stuff you need then.
Colour remedies and astrology: Yes, they are linked. By chakras.
Light of Saturn: the provers got seriously stoned. It’s potent stuff.
Light of Venus: “made from the focussed light of the planet Venus”. Cures “spaced outness”. Obviously. What else would it cure?.
Neptunium: homeopaths attempt a blinded/placebo controlled proving. Unfortunately the placebo produces the same symptoms as the remedy….so, obviously, the remedy must have leaked.
Oscillococcinum – made from a bacteria that doesn’t appear to exist.
Positronium: “prepared from the Annihilation Radiation of Positronium”. Having “dreams of toilets & shite”? Then you need this.
Shipwreck: A remedy made from a bit of wood taken from The Helvetia shipwreck, Rhossili Bay, The Gower, Wales.
Thunderstorm: A remedy created by putting a bottle outside during a thunderstorm.
Water: Yes, water. You can dilute water with water and make it the most powerful water in the Universe.
Anybody suffering from any above named maladies? I got your cure right here.

Same here. Don't these fools realize that if there were any validity to any of these homeopathy claims, they would have been monetized long ago?

There is one caveat.
Many homeopathic remedies haven't fully been studied. For example, if your university has a $20 million budget/grant to study medicine, you are going to put that money into cancer/stroke/diabetes/etc.... you aren't going to divert any of those funds to figure out how tobacco cures a bee sting etc.
Just because it hasn't been documented, tried, and scientifically figured out doesn't mean it isn't real. You talk as if all scientific discoveries have already been made, and we are just riding the wave of totality to our own bitter ends.
That said, 99% of homeopathy is the placebo effect.
But there is plenty of shite out there to be researched and discovered.

Homeopathy and home remedies aren't the same thing.
Plenty of home remedies, which are essentially everyday items containing vitamins, minerals, other therapeutic molecules, are totally valid.
Homeopathy is strictly based on the principle of dilution. The original idea is that you prepare a remedy by isolating the substance that causes the disease and then diluting it many times over. It is unequivocally, indisbutably horse shite.

Oh I agree there are many discoveries out there to be made but homeopathy won't be the way it is discovered. You could hand them the cure to cancer and by the time they processed it their way (ie dilution to parts per billion with water) it would be useless.
No real medicine can survive any with any therapeutic uses by the time it is processed in a homeopathic manner.
The premise of their remedies are "like cures like.". So if you have a rash, they give you diluted poison ivy.
It has been joked that according homeopathic "like cures like", a car accident victim ought to be treated with a molecule of the car that hit them, diluted in water.

I gotta wonder at the six fools who downvoted this. I mean seriously, why downvote something that works?

Duh. Don't you know it only works if you take it with a $12 box of Sambucol elderberry tablets?

To paraphrase Charlie Munger (aka Mason Verger), homeopathy is like EBITDA - every time you see the word, you should substitute the word "bullshite."

I learned that this was what homeopathy was about a year ago. I had thought that it was just alternative medicine. It is really useless.
There are people out there who really believe this stuff.
I also just assumed homeopathy was just herbal stuff and home remedies which can be effective for minor conditions. (Ginger is good for nausea, etc).
My outrage really comes from the Penelope Dingle case. Penelope Dingle death inquest
The TL;DR version is homepath and the husband of a woman with cancer denied her medical help and allowed her to suffer agonizing pain and damage and become terminally ill.(It is a Australian case, not in the US)
Basic facts of the case:
Penelope Dingle died from complications of metastatic rectal cancer on 25 August 2005...
it was contended that the deceased had been
influenced in choices which she made by a homeopath, Francine Scrayen, and that homeopath had become her primary health adviser at a crucial period in the development of her disease.
It was contended that the homeopath was aware that the deceased had been suffering rectal bleeding for approximately 12 months before any recommendation was made to the effect that she should be referred to a medical practitioner.
the homeopath had assured the deceased that she could cure rectal cancer using homeopathic methods alone and that the deceased would not require surgery, chemotherapy or radiation treatment.
it was on the basis of this advice that the deceased had not pursued a surgical option offered by Professor Cameron Platell in February 2003.
in spite of her increasing pain levels the homeopath repeatedly assured her that the
treatment was effective (curative) and encouraged her to persist with homeopathic treatment.
the homeopath had encouraged the deceased not to take appropriate pain relief on the basis that relevant medications would interfere with her monitoring of the disease and the effectiveness of the homeopathic treatment.
in a telephone call with the deceased
while she was at the ER being treated on 12 October 2003, the homeopath had tried to dissuade her from having emergency surgery for a complete bowel obstruction in circumstances where unless surgery had been performed she would have died within the next 24 hours.
(Note by me: Francine also told Penelope that is she had the surgery that Francine would no longer treat her AND tried to force Penelope to sign a waiver of liability so that she would not be blamed for anything.)
Anyways, peneleope (aka "Pen") came to her sense, had the surgery, rather than take Francine's advice to not have surgery- which would have resulted in her blocked colon to explode, forcing about 4 lbs of feces into her abdominal cavity. There is no recovery at that stage, The patient dies in agony while throwing up their own feces.
But the cancer was now incurable so she only lasted about 2 years. Her idiotic husband was so complicit in this fiasco. Her husband was "Dr Dingle" who was not a medical doctor but held a doctorate in some other field.
He promoted his own BS medical lifestyle crap and played stupid about what was going one. he and Francine lied to Pen's family, never told them it was cancer until it was too late and told them anyone who was against the treatment would be forbidden in the house to see Pen.
He only married pen a few days before she died ( i think to control rights to her story and to hide his involvement). Then after pen died, he married just a few month after to yet another homeopathic quack.

OOh but you forgot the part of how they shake and thump the bottles. That's kinetic energy transferring the info in the molecules to activate and homogenize the water. Then the water keeps a memory of that info

I don't know anything about the dillution crap. I just know homeopathy as a broad term to describe remedies that haven't been evaluated by the FDA. That's what I was speaking to in my previous post.
