I have an older tub in a small rent house that I really don't want to spend $2000 to replace totally. My handyman I use mentioned a drop in tub liner. Has anyone here used these before? If so, give me some details please. TIA

I've got some Bob Vila - This Old House on VHS recordings.

I'll mail them to you.

Some may have porn taped on top, I'm not sure.

I think that may be what Bathfitter does....and if so, they work wonderfully

ETA: Fix your title or this will be anchored with quickness.

Why would you have a 2k tub in a rental house?

Get a new handyman

What's wrong with the old tub? Discoloration? Cracks? They make epoxy systems that can overcoat the existing tub. Not a fun project but effective, especially for a rental.

In my experience changing the tub is much cheaper. If it's a cast iron tub, a 16 pound sledge will break it up.

You can re-glaze it for about $350. Look online for re-glazers in your area.

Obviously OP down voted you and isn't interested.

I'll take the VHS with the maybe porn if you still got them. I like me some 90s porn, Bob Vila would just be the lagniappe.

It was not his handyman that suggested the tub be totally replaced at a cost $2,000. Handyman suggested a drop in liner.

So, I think so. :)
