I never once needed a color printer for my classes, so went with monochrome laser, and it’s been a great decision. $99 and the starter toner lasted me over a year. Fast printing, no ink to dry up.

go with the Epson L210 All-in-one Color Inkjet Printer

it has large ink reservoirs so unless you print stuff every day, you only need to add ink once a year from bulk bottles so its cheaper and the print heads are replaceable so it should last forever.

price is right around double the cheaper printers but you get what you pay for LINK

brothers

If you don't need color get a laser, much cheaper to use. I bought the predecessor to this one and it has worked great. No spending $40 on ink every few months and the scanning/copy feature comes in handy

You should check out Brother laser printers. They have some for around $100. When the toner needs to be replaced, just buy the off brand for about $15, they last the same. Between my apartment and office, i have 4 Brother laser printers. They last forever and have been the most economical printers I've had. Plus, you don't have to worry about the toner drying if you go a while without printing like you would with ink.
