Having dealt with the Travelers gypsy people. If you didn't take all the lightning damaged stuff. They would move all the damaged shite to another house and file another claim and another and so on. If the item was to big to put in a company car you had to tag the item with spray paint and record the serial number.

Oh I work in IT for an auto insurance company, I know how much fraud goes on

I am dealing with a Nationwide insured right now that is claiming their entire contents is contaminated because a toilet overflowed, that didnt have any shite in it and flooded just a bathroom and part of a stairwell.
Her comment to me, "You mean they arent going to pay me 218k(her pp limits)"

NYC, this happened to me on Sunday as well, insurance just asked for me to have a formed filled out and signed by someone doing the quote. We had ac unit go, fridge, garage door openers, tv's, roomba, etc. Do electricians typically come out and asses all damage for something like this? This is my first claim as well.

Yeah they will come out and sign your electrical questionnaire/lightning affidavit. They will charge you, but claim that as well on your sheets
