I thought this was a thread on the resurrection.

Because I don’t have to? I haven’t made any opinion really. Just pointing out that you dismissing the future possibilities of this kind of software based on its capabilities today is extremely backwards and stupid.
And your comparisons are completely fricking retarded in this thread to the point where I believe you wear a helmet to bed at night.

is that wrong?
TH03, its all good. i swear this isn't a SHTICK, i genuinely have grave reservations about cars removing the human element from driving.
i draw the line where the tech goes from ASSISTIVE to OWNERSHIP.
i'm 100% down with all the air bags, auto braking, warning lights, blind spot alerts, etc etc etc. and hope the car companies never stop improving on these.
but i draw. the. line. at anything that turns a human DRIVER into a PASSENGER regardless of whether thats called UBER's 'human driver backup' or teslas "auto pilot wake-up alert".
its all the same thing. you don't trust drivers now not to text and drive well wait until those same drivers think they don't even have to keep their eyes open. they'll be finding ways to tape their hands to the steering wheel so they can catch some Zs.

I’ve never met a single person that hasn’t had a wreck when driving motorcycles for an extended period of time. I’m not talking about someone just bumping them, but accidents with pretty bad injuries.

You do know that every time you get on a jet, the computers are doing 95% of the flying and the pilots are up there sleeping, reading, etc, right?

How many pedestrians pushing bikes, kids running out into the streets and pot holes are there at 30,000 feet?
I'll hang up and listen

I was hit at likely a lower speed in a similar manner to that gif. I was actually lucky to be on a motor scooter (not even embarrased
) instead of a motorcycle. Had one to commute to class. Probably saved a broken leg. I was the 3rd person through a green light when someone ran a red light at about 30-35 and t-boned me. Lucky to be alive.
I now ride bicycles, but have started to get uneasy on the road again due to aggressive and inattentive drivers. After my Ironman race in a few weeks, I think I'm doing shorter races where I can do all my training inside. It can be a blast, but there's more to life.

I thought this thread would be about the hood rat trap queen who shot the dude in the head on Facebook live. I think he lived for a while.

Yeah man. I don't care if I am 1st or passing through 30 seconds after it turned green. My arse slows down to just below the speed limit and I am scanning both directions before I enter any intersection with traffic lights.
