I can’t be the only husband here in a similar situation right now.
You're definitely not. My dad and I were bitching about this unequal work distribution the other day.
We cut down a large tree that fell in my parents backyard on Sunday. All day we worked on this thing in addition to taking care of the generator. My mom and wife sat there and watched.
Come supper time, neither of them stepped up and it was their bright idea to go to a local restaurant at 6PM which just so happened to have a line out the door.
fricking livid is an understatement. We got served American cheese slices on cracker for dinner. I declined and just sipped my whiskey and smoked my joint so I didn't lose my shite.
Everyone is on edge right now.

Jesus. So sorry. This thread hits home that how trivial the daily trials and tribulations I face are.

My first comment was intentionally flip....
This is not. Read what you wrote in the OP....find your balls, and tell your wife to kiss your arse and pull her weight.
I am sorry for the difficulty you are going through.

Keep your chin up bro. My Dad told me a long time ago that being married you have to have broad shoulders. You have to try and realize that she is going through some stuff too and that by you being the person that she trusts and is closest to makes you the one she probably will unload on. As a stereotype Men will hold it in, but Women really need to unload those emotions. Just try to realize she is at her wits end and try not to take it personal. Things should get better when some normalcy comes back.

Sounds like some regret. Best you can do is try to improve communication with her. Hash it all out and try to see eye to eye. If y’all can’t, well you have some hard decisions to make. In my experience, it definitely reads like there is some lost love or is was never really love in the first place

Unless you make extremely good money, I'd recommend Florida. CO is insanely expensive now.

Thats a fricking woman for you.

I would’ve said the same thing a few years back. Fact of the matter is that they change and they change quickly.

Tell her you're gonna give her a break and take the baby.
Then give her the daily checklist of what you're doing and tell her you expect it done by night fall.

yea just understand its not that hse thinks you are a POS its that she is stressed. Having the young kid stresses her out and because she trust you, she is taking it out on you.
best thing you can do is sit her down and talk to her. Make her realize she is being ungrateful. If she reacts negatively to that and snaps....well she is just a bitch and you have a whole other issue.

This started when men stopped beating their women and fricking their secretaries
We all live in a woman's world now. The results speak for themselves and it's not good. Just look around you.
For the balance of power to be restored they need to get back to spreading their legs, tucking their toes and shutting the fuk up

Hey , my ex ( a south Louisiana woman,no pics) blames me for the death of her parents. She actually believes I killed them.

Dude, I'm the wife (but NOT like yours) and you're the equivalent of my husband who is a saint ... last year we were out of power for I think 7 days (maybe 6) after Delta and although we had ample gas and no claims to deal/worry about, he was doing all of the other things that you're doing. I never said a word -- no spoiled food, food to cook and a cool pool house to sleep was ample enough.
And I did help with the cleanup. Granted I didn't have any little kids to deal with which can makes things exponentially worse.
Keep breathing in and out and this too shall pass. IMO, she needs to be grateful for food and a cool place to sleep. But that's just me.
