Convinced my dad and his buddy at work to take me to nitro.

Two Nitros at the 'dome - January '98 after Sting "beat" Hogan for the title via gravity hands Bret, then the God-awful one in the summer of '99 that killed off WCW for me. I quit watching after spending hours in line for tickets to go on sale for 3rd row seats then be bored to tears during that show. The first nitro for me will be forever remembered for Booker T nearly killing Mortis with a botched powerbomb, I thought he was dead after landing waaaay too high on his head.

Wrestling had a good run but the internet killed it. Kids no longer can have the debate if it’s real or not, just check social media.

I was in 9th grade when all this started and no lie it was magical watching Monday nights. I always knew the wrestling was fake but there were certain "spots" that I really couldn't tell. There's obvious moments like Mankind off the top of Hell in the Cell but there was one time when Goldberg and Nash had their program. Nash was in the audience heckling Goldberg and I swear Goldberg straight up punched him in the face, Nash turned purple in shock and went after him in a way that looked nothing like wrestling. Maybe somebody else remembers that

I went to a few. One in Biloxi or Pensacola we went to the Ultimate Warrior showed up at the end. Then he disappeared into smoke into a trap door in the stage. We were close to the ring. About 5 minutes after the whole thing is over. Ultimate Warrior comes out dressed as a janitor from under the ring.

I favored Wolfpack my friends hated Nash and everyone hated Konan. At the end of another match my friend pelted Nash with a giant cup of crown and coke. I thought that giant was going to come into the crowd and get him.

I think the saddest part was not us going as far as Florida, but that we would camp out at Major Video (ticketmaster) to get close as possible to the ring.
