I collected cards when I was young ( late 50’s now) I’m not sure what happened to them. Looking at this thread I got to looking at some of the top selling cards

It's the best card from one of the best sets.
If I had that kind of money, I would rather buy some PSA 10 MJ rookies

Kick myself in arse for not buying a MJ autograph card around 2013 or 2014. Some were going between about $400 to $700 they were random cards of him as a tarheel or randoms nothing like prime MJ with the bulls but now you can't touch a MJ autograph card for less than 2k. Could have, should have, didn't

Just crazy how the industry went from nearly extinct just about 20 years ago ( card shops closing everywhere) to now where cards are going for insane prices and card shops are making bank. I guess if you survived those days you should be rewarded. I have collected all my life and occasionally pull the trigger on good cards.

Dementris Snutz i would hold on to that one. I bet at auction you could get about 350,000 for that.

Kabooms are cool. I'm more of a fan of downtowns and color blasts. I want a color blast JB9 but those are damn expensive

I pretty much just buy singles now. After the boom and flippers came in the hobby boxes just got ridiculous.
Not as fun as ripping, but definitely the better investment. PC rare 90's MJ inserts, Brady RCs, Mahomes RCs, 50's Jackie Robinson, Muhammed Ali, and been buying up LeBron RCs even though I can't stand him his stuff is down right now.

I've been buying up Alec Pierce autos for cheap hoping he has a good year this year 
Did/doing the same for Trey Murphy since he has so much upside.
Also need to complete my LSU Prizm Draft Picks National Champs set in Mojo prizm. Unfortunately Ja'marr was a redemption in 2021 so those are slowly starting to hit eBay

I've stopped buying pretty much anything but QB's unless it's vintage. Even when take off their stuff drops with the next rookie class. Jefferson and Jamarr are holding pretty strong though. Sold a Burrow/JJ dual auto at the Bossier show in 2021 to a kid for $200. Regret that one a bit. quote:

Man I love me some TM3. I have a friend from the card shows that's a big TM3 collector as well. I think he's a good buy. Hopefully he bounces back from the surgery good.
