There was a whole thread on it a while back:
https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/o-t-lounge/gypsy-encampment-any-i-10-and-hwy-73/101935354/

Highlights:
quote:

I know the owner unless he sold it. He’s not in politics and never has been. He does/did own most of the land between 73 and bluff. Good ol guy. You’d never have a clue he’s freaking loaded if you met him

quote:

That trashy piece of land is owned by Merrill Braud.

So you'd be ok letting one of them put their trailer in your front yard with a mud pit for a driveway and overgrown weeds all around it?

Trailer is being generous. From Google street view they look like they were pieced together with random odds and ends. I think one is an old sno cone stand and another looks like 2 sheds nailed together.

Exactly. It's not really a trailer park. It's a field with a bunch of rigged up dwellings that looks like a souped-up homeless community. It looks like shite and is a giant eyesore.

I have not been there is a few years but there was a lady selling propane cheaper than anywhere else in the state.

They also had a seafood stand that had good sized crabs

It would seem just parking a 20’ shipping container in there is probably the cheapest way to get your kids into the good school district.
