82 in a 55 on 75/85 going through downtown Atlanta. Cost me $303.
That’s surprising. I drive through Atlanta 3-4 times a year and I’ve never seen anyone drive the speed limit on the interstate (I’ve never seen a cop either).

Oil fricking City, La
Right where it went from 55 to 45....
55 in a 45, expired registration (thats on me), expired inspection sticker (bullshite).

Called my baw up in Vivian, he got the mayor to drop the speeding to a seatbelt.
$440.00 out the door

I know, right?
Worst part is that Evel Kneivel (motorcycle cop) didn’t radar me, he paced me. How in the frick that is legal is a mystery. Pacing folks for citations should be outlawed.

Highest Paid Ticket - or - Highest ticket ever issued?
Back in 2002 I was in NOLA driving up Canal Street in my company car, which had an out of state license plate. During this time is when they were doing construction in the median (aka neutral ground) installing tracks for the street cars. I was trying to go turn left on Burgundy, but all of the construction had everything out of wack. It appears that on the traffic signal was a tarp covering it up, I assume because maybe they did not want traffic turning at that intersection, but the tarp had been ripped to shreds. The working traffic signal was clearly visible and working. When I got to the intersection I turned left to go up Burgundy. I was then pulled over by one of NOLA's finest.
I was issued a ticket - my ticket including the following violations:
Wrong way on a one way
Careless Operation of a motor vehicle.
Illegal turn
disregarding a traffic signal
Violation in a construction zone
All of these totaled up to over $700 - and that was in 2002!
** needless to say I went to my court date - pleaded down to a single nonmoving violation and paid less than $100

$2500
Trooper caught me on a dirt bike on the highway. Riding a wheelie doing 90mph on the shoulder.
-no helmet ticket
-no registration ticket
-speeding ticket
-careless op ticket
-no turn signals ticket
-no Brake light ticket
He said since I wanted to ride it on tne road like an idiot he was gonna treat it like a road bike. Had two ticket sheets with all three blanks filled up on each one. Went to the court house and the judge said that today would be the day I learned my lesson and said I didn’t need to worry about paying it all today. They would set me up an account ant the court house and I could pay monthly.

A number of years ago, I got stopped for allegedly speeding in a 55mph construction zone. Two cars hauling arse passed me right before the construction zone started and the posted speed limit dropped to 55. Local cop lights me up but no big deal I thought. Says he has me at over 70. BS I say as those cars passed me prior to the change in speed limit. Also, he says fine is doubled since workers were present in the construction zone. Time was around 4:45 pm on a Friday and not a single worker or construction vehicle was present. I called the company contracted to repair the highway to get time sheets to prove no one was present but the rep said their workers clocked out after 5 pm. bullshite. I tried to explain the the county judge but she was out of the country on vacation past the deadline for me to pay the fine so I ended up paying a $460 fine for driving the posted speed limit.

Being in the rocking chair is the best spot. Not the first, second nor the last.
Once upon a time, I was at the railroad crossing at Congress, just off Congress (Baton Rouge) waiting for an engine to stop backing up and moving for some reason. My impatience goaded me into going around the signal's short arm with 4 other cars behind me. The number 4 car lit the blue lights, passed us all and wrote 3 of us up.
I don't remember what the fine was but I also had to attend some kind of class to keep them from reporting (supposedly) it as a serious offense to my insurance company.

Not the highest because I didn't pay it. Coming back from Crested Butte, Co., skiing I'm driving my friend's fathers Honda station wagon. This was 81 I believe, and we are crossing Raton pass in N.M. This chick passes me and I'm doing at least 85. So, I stomp it, the odometer I believe only went to 90mph. I lose sight of her. As I am rolling down the pass come around a blind curve and there are two N.M. state troopers in the medium. One lights me up and I pull over. I say dammnit and my buddy wakes up and asks what's wrong. I tell him what happened, and he says, not good. The trooper runs my license and comes back and says you can handle this two ways. Go into Raton and pay the ticket or mail a money order or cashier check to the address on the ticket. Didn't take my license so I ask him how much for the ticket? This is no lie $15.00 Never heard from N.M., might be on their top ten fugitives list. Another CSB.

I remember paying like $90 for a ticket in Texas for 7 over. Ten dollars for every mile over the speed limit plus "fees". This was 2002.
I got a ticket for expired inspection sticker. $252. Got that one thrown out.
