I remember my 1st internship with a large construction firm as an assistant superintendent.. Having previously worked as a tradesman, I was looking forward to the white hard hat and "gravy" office job. Boy was I wrong. I was constantly doing 20 things at one time and stayed at the job trailer after the men left. You're secretary, psychologist, accountant, politician, police officer, and lastly builder all rolled into one.

Also after years of being great at your job, word spreads and people come to you, you don't have to try nearly as hard to get the same results.

that's definitely NOT the case where I work.... I am the highest paid and I am among the hardest working, no doubt... it's probably the exception from the norm, but I don't play that shite where I work... I have high expectations of myself and you don't reach your goals doing stuff half assed
