I don't like people.

Social settings, especially large ones, bring out the stupid in most.

This isn't a sign of intelligence. this is a sign of a Narcissistic Sociopath.

There are assholes in this thread that think they are geniuses because they don't like talking to others.

It doesn't make you eccentric or a genius. It just means you are social inept and an a-hole.

I've been friends or close with a few people who do as well as I do on tests. Best in class, or 2nd. They are all socially proficient.

They have things in common.

Fathers were well educated
PhD (2) or law.

My high iq exemplars were co-valedictorian at Lagrange l.c. Class of 61 and Paducah Tilghman class of 65.

They were in frat/sororities.
The one from Paducah was president of her sorority.
She got perfect sat scores.
Straight a. 3 yrs to graduate from Washington u in st Louis.
Then law there.
The guys both did law.
Vandy/vandy
Rice/yale law

Your premises may stem from jealousy.

A consideration is whether autism is more common among higher iq people.

Also bias v introverts
Are introverts higher iq than not introvert?

I was on local BBS's as a kid in the 80's and back then I just so clearly saw the potential of the technology when most everyone just thought it was weird. And when the internet became more easily accessible in the 90's a lot of people had the same dismissive attitude.

I remember those times too. There was everything you have today, especially with the multi-line boards: forums, online games, email/private messages, group chat, instant message/texting, etc. Most everyone else seemed to think it was just "computer nerd crap". It was quite depressing that everyone seemed so dismissive of it.

RIP The Point, APWNN, etc.

FYI, you might also have ADHD. The symptoms can overlap quite a bit.

A fact that is discussed not nearly enough.
