This feline is a "service cat".

quote:

LARGE CASH AWARD FOR ANY INFORMATION AND/OR THE SAFE RETURN OF ZOEY, The "WhoCat".

LOST CALICO CAT - ORANGE & BLACK W/ WHITE CHEST AND BACK FEET. GOLD EYES.

She ran off at Uncle Bob's Storage on General DeGaulle and it is believed someone has her.

Please respond to this message or call/message show contact info

This baby girl means a lot to me and has been through a lot recently, I just want her back safe and sound.

If you read anything about this cat, it's a "service cat".

what I don't get it is. This guy needs the cat for "emotional support" Yet that was the Cat's first Saints Game, and he said in the article he has sat in those seats for 12 years and it was the first time he brought the cat.
I know I may seem like an a-hole for this, but he does NOT need that service animal to survive or get around. It's not a seeing eye dog. Emotional support animals are easy to get and soon pets will be in restaurants everywhere as more people get emotional support animals.
If the animal is there to guide you or keep you alive then that's fine, but all of us use our pets as emotional support animals.
This service animal stuff is crazy to me.

I'll hang up now and count the downvotes.

emotional support animals are not the same as service animals. Service animals are covered by the federal ADA laws. Emotional support animals are not covered by that, it's usually state laws that allow them. Did Louisiana change their laws for emotional support animals recently? If so, maybe that is why he brought his cat for the first time.

Service animals are trained to perform specific tasks for disabled people. Emotional support animals usually provide some sort of mental treatment for a condition like depression.

I've never heard of a service cat for emotion support. That's ridiculous.

How much emotional support can a cat give? They seem pretty damn independent and uncaring half the time.
