It's a good thing this guy isn't in charge of anything related to our military defense systems...

OK, I can see that.

But we undoubtedly regained the upper and whipped them pretty hard, back northward.

I think the only reason the Chinese entered the war was because MacArthur was getting so close to China that they viewed it as a threat. Pretty sure it was the Norks that chased them all the way south. Mac landed at Inchon then drove them north almost to the Yalu.

All it takes is a sling shot and someone that thinks they can win. Never underestimate your enemy.

I think you are right. You can see the Chinese troops massing at the border in the gif I posted.

It definitely became a stalemate.

Without Sam Houston at San Jacinto or Britain in 1940, this list is crap.

Is there a sonic on Guam where the US and NK can meet? Since its a US territory, there has to be a sonic drive in.

I guess no one here remembers 9-11-2001. It took our government basically half the day to figure out what was going on. Then another 6 months to launch a counter attack against our enemy (Afghan Terrorists)

You might want to go back and recheck the 9/11 retaliation timeline. The first CIA Jawbreaker team flew into the Panjshir Valley from Uzbekistan in late Sept '01, about 2-1/2 weeks after 9/11. Army SF A-teams were in country by early/mid October. Rangers took the airfield outside of Kandahar that came to be known as Camp Rhino in late Nov. The Taliban was run out of Kabul by early December, 2001, less than three months after 9/11.

If North Korea decides to start some serious shite with the US, it won't take SecDef Mattis and Trump six months to react.

It might not take six minutes.

What everyone on here is ignoring is that regardless of who strikes first, Seoul is toast. Hundreds of thousands dead just from artillery shelling. Nevermind a nuke. At that point the stock market takes a big old hairy dump on all your 401ks and retirement funds. Probably lots of layoffs in some areas as everyone freaks out over a large Democratic country getting levelled.

there is no concern about what would happen in a conventional war with NK the concern is them lobbing a few nukes into SK and Japan, which would kill millions upon millions.
those nukes would ever and i mean ever reach their target. The Patriot Missile woud wreck that shite.

What you really have to worry about is North Korea's artillery decimating Seoul. They will hit Seoul with thousands of rounds per hour. This is what makes the decision to go to war so difficult. If North Korea wasn't holding Seoul hostage, it would be an easy victory. The U.S. and South Korea would still win this war in several months, but North Korea will take down Seoul with it. And that's a heavy price. Potentially a million+ people will be killed.

The USA first priority is to only take out the NK nuclear capabilities

The second priority might be a regime change...although that would probably end up a major shite show based on the current NK population

OP for comparison:

At the Battle of Yavin, the Rebellion launched 30 outdated fighter craft and a lone Y1300f freighter against a heavily defended battle station. The Empire deployed a single Tie Advanced which quickly destroyed the bulk of the Rebel forces. The Empire was preparing to fire their superweapon at Yavin IV in order to eradicate the pesky Rebellion, when shite happened: A lone T-65 with a damaged R2 unit, piloted by a novice with no experience with the targeting computer fired a torpedo down the exhaust port of the Death Star, destroying the Empire's largest military asset. It was a "one in a million" chance, but the Rebels won.

Our government employees take far too much time to react to these measures.

Good analysis except for one issue - 9/11 was a surprise attack. I have to believe North Korea is on every radar screen the US military has. The first sign of a launch, it's game on.
