Secure sheet of pegboard to studs using bolts thought w rubber washer and liquid nail a 2x4's in the center lots of options then

Personally I'd just use one of these with either self tapping screws or toggle bolts

If it was me I add some wood studs between those metal studs. Then cover it with a sheet of plywood to dress it up. Screw your shelf brackets into the wood studs.
