Lsd is a synthesized narcotic.

Dmt is a naturally occurring chemical in the brain. That can also be synthesized.

Your knowledge level is flawed.

James 1:5

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Where is he when all of those deeply religious parents lose a child to cancer or a rare disease? Is he just sitting up there like "nah, frick that family. I don't have time for them today" or something?

So many things make less than zero sense when it comes to religion. It's an ideology taught in a time when people thought the earth was flat and that an actual place called heaven was just beyond the clouds. Religion has preyed on the weak and poor since it's inception. The problem is humans have evolved and science has shown that it's all bullshite.

Perhaps you need to understand the definition of faith in order to help explain your struggles with your evolving spiritual beliefs.

If I'm Jesus i'd be more impressed with a person who did good just because it was the right thing to do vs. someone who hedged their bet just for tickets to the after party

Really? There’s definitive proof that there is no God now?

No, there isn't. It hasn't been proven that he exists, either.

Which of the 33,000 protestant outfits "overthrew" the Catholic Church?

No, I'm talking about the Deuterocanoncical books.

Sounds like you want all of the answers now. Keep in mind earth is not Heaven and when one goes to Heaven, and I hope you do one day, all of the answers will be revealed and it will make perfect sense.

:rotflamo:

“Several speculative and yet untested hypotheses suggest that endogenous DMT is produced in the human brain and is involved in certain psychological and neurological states“

You have strong faith in unproven/untrue statements I see.

but the basic tenets of Catholicism are the same as the original teachings of Christianity.

No they’re not

Depends on his frame of reference. The current teachings of Christianity were decided by a council of people in the mid-300s. They decided what was real and what wasn't. I'm not going into the detail of shifts since then...just the basic start of a group defining technical Christianity.

If you start with Jesus and the 300 years after his death (if it even happened) there was a wide variety of beliefs and teachings. Some thought Jesus was the divine son of god, others just a great man. Mary M was important, Mary M was nothing.

This is one of the biggest reasons I find no real credibility in the religion despite being raised in it. Everything taught and believed today was decided and confirmed 3 centuries after the fact. There was no consensus on most of the big issues. A vote and push from a Roman emperor decided if the Resurrection, the cornerstone of the religion, even happened.

Christianity is a religion completely defined and created by man based on 300 years of legends. From my point of view I would say there's a roughly 50/50 chance there was a historical Jesus. I would probably lean towards the side that there was, but the stories and legends are so far from the truth of the actual man it may as well be a completely different person.

it makes more sense than when close to death we see a guy who was sent by god who was his father but was also him for us to kill him so that he could save us from him.

It’s funny, Christ nor His disciples or apostles ever quoted from any of those books. The deutorononical books or apocrypha books.

You have zero evidence to support your claim.

you also have zero evidence to support yours. Jumping straight to the conclusion that visions at death are jesus leading the way are pretty extraordinary. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I'm simply claiming that maybe these visions aren't god. there is evidence piling up that DMT is produced in the pineal gland and released at death. it isn't confirmed yet but it makes far more sense than some magic man visions.

There is zero evidence to prove this. Just like you have zero evidence to support your belief that there is no God. You have a blind faith in your atheist beliefs and it looks it carries over to many other areas such as your DMT BS which also you can not support.
