You will use it twice then it will sit in your garage for decades. I've seen it happen all too many times.

Seen it as well.

However, I have a Concept 2 model E that I use three times a week most weeks. I have done so for about 15 months and have accumulated almost 1,000,000 meters. I do about 6000 meters at a time so that I get a 30 minute workout.

It works for me because it allows me to binge watch favored TV shows. I am working through the full catalog of Star Trek now, a project that will likely take me another three years. Yes, I'm a nerd. My wife uses it to watch detective/mystery shows. We use Netflix on a tablet poised on a music stand. It has worked well for us and both of us have seen positive results. But, it is boring and something to watch is critical.

Hope this helps.

How is it on your knees? Any issues?

I ride a bike but have been looking for another exercise to change things up.

Running is no longer a long term option.

It's not bad on the knees. It strengthens the muscles around them, which apparently takes pressure off of the tendons and ligaments.

It isn't the same motion as walking though, so the muscles tend to tighten up if rowing would be all you do. I would suggest some walking to go with it. Nothing too strenuous, but enough to loosen the muscles regularly.

Hope this helps.
