I was in Asheville yesterday.
The place still smells.
Better or worse than the pachouli and weed that it normally smelled of?

I love where I live and I admire and love my neighbors.
This past weekend there was an estate sale nearby and one of my neighbors called me to ask if I needed a coat or jewelry. She was blown away by how many almost brand new coats they had. As we talked she said, "I know what I'm going to do. Tomorrow's half price day, I'm going to buy all the coats and send them to the folks who lost everything in the flood."
And she did. Filled their SUV.

Drone footage of the road to Chimney rock built by the "West Virginia Boys".
LINK
Note that in order for this to be built, Fed, state and local sheriff had to turn their backs. It's an illegal road however badly needed. Not much of a road but it allows vehicle access.

You have to add in all the dried up mud dust that is blowing around

Some of the "road" goes through private property. If they government had seized private property to build this emergency road, people would be losing their minds.

Speaking of roads, here's the Tennessee Department of Transportation road map for the area affected by Helene.
LINK
Just in a glance it doesn't look much better than it did after Helene.
The map also covers part of North Carolina, but not in as much detail

So did New Orleans in the fall of 2005.
Even uptown.

Fema has just announced its opening four additional disaster recovery centers in counties in east Tennessee.
These are to help people apply for aid, etc. They are also encouraging people who haven't applied to go ahead and apply and if they are turned down to reapply.
Strange read about a Fema activity that is tied to paperwork and eventual dispersal of money

The swath of agricultural losses is huge. Our Farm Bureau newsletter had a map which I found, and you need to see it
Here is the article that explains how they used power outages to make the map LINK
It gives specifics of the different categories as well as what programs may be of assistance.

I-26 is reopening. The damage to it was limited to washing out one span of a bridge over the Nolichucky River in north east Tennessee.
I-40 remains closed with problems in both Tennessee and North Carolina. Yesterday the North Carolina Department of Highways announced they plan to reopen two lanes of I-40 on New Year's day.

Did we ever get an updated death toll? I do not believe the numbers.

234 with 7 still missing.
Why don't you believe the numbers? This isn't a place like an inner city with large numbers of undocumented people, or no records. If the numbers were drastically higher people who know the dead/missing would be speaking out, and other concerned parties (employers, schools, churches, etc.) would notice. Instead, all we have pushing the "10-20k dead" garbage are fringe whackadoos and that phony Eustace Conway. Those overinflated numbers that are upwards of ten times the Katrina death toll have no basis in reality.

Back to Fema: so they fired the woman who gave that order.
Something bothers me: the people who worked under her followed that order. Nobody then said a thing, they just did something horrible to their fellow citizens. It was an illegal order and in the military unacceptable. In Fema, did anyone care?

They have been infiltrating these American agencies for over a decade now.
Chipping away and implementing more radical policies as they go. Weeding out employees that will not adhere to their radical policies like VAX passports DEI/CRT training classes & the like.
Whether it be labeled DEI CRT or some other form of their Marxism the goal is to openly discriminate against anyone who does not align with their political religion. If the roles were reversed we would be seeing hearings & trials over the blatant civil rights violations.
Anyone that has been paying attention to their openly radical actions for the past decade or more is not shocked in the least.
The media is also a big part of their agenda as they are one in the same & constantly run cover for them.

With the news today of the woman supposedly turning "whistle blower" on the higher ups I can see an atmosphere on the ground where people legitimately worried about their livelihoods if they spoke out. I'm not putting her in that group, but those under her who ultimately brought attention to it. The timing of them coming out, very shortly after the election was called, kind of leans to that at least being part of it.
