Hope everyone is okay. I don’t have many details other than it looked like daylight in chalmette.

That's bad, avg 1300 degrees and 2200PSI. A big boom.

Confirmed that it was the hydrocracker? I have a guy from my PTEC classes that was working on the hydrocracker. Pretty sure he was off tonight hopefully.

Only relaying what I was told.
Someone downvoted the post, so maybe that is wrong.

I’m not seeing anything on my Facebook. Just people from my side of the river asking why the sky is orange

Roger that. I’ll update if I find out anything different. Just hoping everyone was catching naps in the blast proof buildings

Different person said there were injuries, but obviously that could be a wide range of things.

Depressurizing valve failed. Only one person known to be injured as of right now. The fire is contained to one unit at the moment.

Terrible at any time.
Particularly now.

Hearing from multiple sources it is a cracker. The flare is impressive too at moment.
They haven’t yet asked for mutual aid from PBF.

I'd take that as a good sign.
I realize serious.
But, looking for hope.

Correct. It’s bad. But it’s controlled at the moment. If it was uncontrolled they would ask for mutual aid from PBF. Just talked to a buddy who is on the response team at PBF and he’s awake and paying attention but hasn’t yet got the call.
