Better health outcomes and lower prices are beneficial to both insurance companies and customers. Wearables will help insurers drive a deeper engagement with their customers, with real-time advice that might also help their customers be more proactive about their health. And the healthier customers get, the less an insurance company needs to spend on them.

Anything an insurance company may consider "unhealthy" I pay for in cash. Eating out, snacks, and I even divide my groceries between what I'm using my card to pay for and what I'm using cash to pay for.
You never know who is buying what personal information on you.

OP, doctors and insurance companies already know what kind of life you are living. Both know if you are taking/filling scripes even if it is the first time you see a doctor.
Don't you know that you sign a release.

Insurance Rep: "SD, we've noticed every night around 9 your heart rate elevates and your adrenaline rises sharply for 2-3 minutes then abruptly falls. Are you partaking in illegal drugs?"
SD: "No, that's when Everybody Loves Raymond comes on TVland. I find Deborah's cold and dominate ways very attractive."

Unless your paying cash for your prescriptions and not using your insurance benefits your health insurance company most definitely knows and the information is available (through your insurance provider) to any physician you see. Not just the scripts he/she has written, but any script that you have filled using your insurance benefits.

I have a friend who is a small business owner ans reimburses his employees for race entries for any finisher medal, results, etc they can provide for him. They pay their health club memberships (at certain places) and while they don't pay for extras like personal training, pilates, etc they do bring in personal trainers, dietitians, coaches from time to time for expos and such.
Yes, it's harder but a more hands on approach is much more effective.

Only works against you if you like to floor the gas everytime you take off or wait until the last second to slam on your brakes a lot.
I put one of those stupid arse devices in my car for the 2-3 months a while back and ended up getting 15% discount on my insurance.
