You shoulda heard the little old lady greeter/switchboard when I worked at the bank in Tulsa and was dealing with VA/FHA and other mortgage loans.
"What's Bob Dole calling him about? Why's Senator Soandso calling him?"
Ya see, Congress Critters rotate through the various govt. agencies as acting Dept. Heads and as part of their duties on the oversight committees. Some of the waiver requests and stuff have to be signed off by the "Head", over time a person can really get to know all kinds of folks.
