"Look, I know it is easier just to be done with these students. Bashing them is incredibly popular and dismissing them from the island of humanity appears to be all the rage. Unfortunately, I am called to the two most idealistic professions—teaching and preaching and I believe in the power of conversion. I believe in the power of Grace. I believe in a God of Second Chances. I believe in a God who is a master teacher.
I know. How silly of me."
^ this is what should be done
i feel like too many young African Americans and others grew up hearing their parents and grandparents tell stories about Selma and sit-ins and other instances where they had peaceful protests so that they could be included in the conversation and so that the discussion of civil rights could start.
the problem is they hear their parents' and grandparents' stories and want so badly to also be a tool of change and social justice so they immediately jump to protest at these types of events.
But they lose sight of the fact that the reason they're parents protested was so they would even be allowed to have the dialogue about rights and justice in the first place.
I feel like by automatically jumping to protest they're missing out the opportunity to dialogue with the Levi Petitt's of the world in order to try to bring about true change.
Young people want so badly to say "i marched at OU after that terrible video came out" that they're not allowing themselves the chance to say "I was part of the group that sat down with those SAEs to help them understand how they hurt others with their cruel words."
Its cooler to protest and be part of the masses and the groupthink yelling for these SAEs heads when it was probably the same type of groupthink that got a bus chanting these terrible things in the first place.

So black people are the only people robbing and attacking cops?
Pretty much. Do you even watch the news? Do you know the percentage of blacks in the prison population. Did you know 11% of the population are responsible for 37% of major crimes. Time to man up and start cleaning your own house.

Today nearly 100% of both the KKK and the tea party is comprised of republicans, so why would I join the GOP
Nearly 100% black vote Democrat and look at the POS president that got us. That is a very good reason for you to join GOP.

These are not hate groups like the KKK so why bring them up?

Shut the frick up. You threw all those bullhit statements and nothing stuck. They are not hate groups do they have people that hate white people, but that is not their purpose. This is the equivalent to saying that the tea party is a hate group. You are fricking stupid.

I'd argue that the hang from a tree part of the song was far more offensive but I am just a whitey from Tennessee.

I made no B.S. statements, and those are hate groups. I'll take it one step further, as I posted in another thread, that I find Farrakhan to be the most evil and dangerous soul since Hitler. Chew on that bruh.
Congrats for being delusional, racist, and real open about it.
This sounds like a "neener-neener" battle from you and you should be ashamed. Go back to your little afro-centric world where only you can be right, and above all, be a victim.
Good day sir.

Chew on what stupid frick. How many white people did Farrakhan kill. Because a black man says frick the white man in your eyes he is the equivalent to Hitler? Please put away your victim card pussy.

quote:Farrakkhan message is as evil as any person in history I would imagine. He is for the open killing of a whole subset of people. Who has been worse than that?

ETA: Any person who is for murdering a group of people is pure evil

I fixed my avatar to avoid misunderstanding. Do you think I achieved a level of clarity sufficient to communicate with the OT ballers?
