Hawaii false ballistic missile alert wasn’t just a wrong button that was pushed.

Turns out the worker who sent out the alert actually thought there was an incoming ballistic missile, apparently believing the drill they were supposed to be conducting was real world. The worker has now been fired. The Governor of Hawaii had said that the false alert was a result of the wrong button being pushed.

Not exactly a position where you want to implement a 3 strike policy

maybe the USA (or maybe not) was testing missiles and he saw something on the radar. maybe the system worked exactly as it should.

This guy is just a Hawaii EMA employee who sends out the alerts to the public, he’s probably not near any radars.

Still don't buy it
They were trying to embarrass Trump by making him react poorly to it.
Only reason why it took them 40 minutes to fix it.
They sent out the alert and sat back and waited for Trump to respond. Once he didn't they figured they had to call it off since they let it go for 40 minutes.
If they weren't trying to do that they would have sent out the error message quickly. They all have phones and all got the warning message.
