Every time I try to understand what people are talking about when they complain about 'cultural appropriation' I just end up confused at how dumb the criticism sounds.

How pathetic it must be to have feelings so easily hurt.... I cannot wrap my head around how anyone can be so easily offended by 'anything'.

Ok now anyone who ever participated in South Sea Island parties cannot run for political office. Old Gumbo and party pics will surely surface and charges of appropriation will be levied.

I hate liberals.
See how 1 person can frick up everything for everyone else? Why should that 1 person complaining (what is their skin color) cancel out what 100's or even more want to do? That is not a liberal but more than likely a feminazi trying to flex her big cock muscles.
A true liberal loves freedom, so why do you hate freedom so much, cuck? Everyone should be free to do whatever they want as long as they aren't infringing upon any one else's rights. Note, getting your feelings hurt does not count. Me playing my music loud at 2am where everyone on the block can hear it, is infringing on other people's right. Me calling you a retard, is not infringing on your rights.

It is a state university. Tell them to take a flying frick at the moon, you are exercising your free speech rights and there will be hell to pay if they take adverse action based on that. Quit kow towing to the crap.

What is the point of multiculturalism and diversity if you can't appropriate?

I think this constant complaining about wrongs is sort of like vandalism or graffiti, people that can't produce anything, destroy, deface or mar up the work of others. It is their accomplishment.

Cultural appropriation means claiming or using another culture to gain an advantage you wouldn't otherwise have based on yours.
For example, what Elizabeth Warren did claiming NA status to gain advantages her whole life is literally the pinnacle of this.
Like everything else, Progressives project their ignorant behavior on to everyone else and are OK if one of their own does it.
You are only confused because you likely see the blatant double standard and bastardization of the definition by the very group the purports the nonsense.

I can understand potential outrage if the students were doing a Hawaii day purely to be assholes and make fun of Hawaii and Hawaiin culture.
But from what we're given, that doesnt seem to be the case at all. You can no longer pay tribute to and honor anothrr culture. That is so dumb.
