Where do you plan on having him ride it?

Can you ride these types of bikes around the neighborhood or do you have to take it to a trail?

Opinion question for the OT.
Should kids be allowed to ride dirt bikes on public roads even if it’s mostly safe? I see a lot of kids on bikes in my town. Mostly smaller residential streets.

He's right, though. Some of my best Christmas memories are getting hurt with my Christmas presents before the day was even over. Football pads, new bikes, lawn darts, whatever. Damn near killed myself the year my brother and I got the Evel Knievel bikes.

ETA: he lost his shite!!! Greatest Christmas Day as a dad in my life!!!

It's hard to think of a better feeling than seeing your kids so overjoyed and knowing you absolutely nailed it. It's your best Christmas as a Dad, and it's going to be the one he'll always remember, too.

Good job, bro.

Good job dad!

When we bought a house on the lake and made it our permanent residence, I bought a pair of Kawasaki jet skis. They were barely used 4 stroke 160hp. The kids love them. And if they fall off, it’s a little softer than the dirt.

I learned, if you want your kids to hang out at your house, you better make it fun. If not, they will hang out somewhere else.

Tell the wife that most active kids have at least broken arm while young.
