I think it's considered derogatory to call them oriental.

Would they prefer Mongoloid? Because that's the correct term for their race.

It amazes me how people can dream up shite to offended by and label "racist."

I saw one once who had a "Hungry Veteran" cardboard sign. I just passed him by. I'm not giving anything to a guy who was VC scum.

Yes...in Tokyo.

He crawled out of the bushes at the zoo to have a conversation with me. He said, "How strange it must be to not know where your ancestors are buried. I know where my ancestors for the past 1000 years are buried." He then asked me what I thought about conflict in the Middle East and potential solutions. It was astonishing. Very interesting dude & conversation. Only intellectual bum I've ever encountered.

I saw A drunk homeless guy in downtown Seoul, South Korea. 2 policemen were picking him up off the sidewalk ( and I assume to jail) and he was apologizing for his condition.

What a contrast

I have. My neighbor’s daughter. She was bipolar schizophrenic and was never able to finish school. She lived with her mom for as long as she could, but just roamed the streets day and night. She wasn’t homeless, but lived the way a homeless person would. She doesn’t even know who her mom is anymore. Sad deal for everyone.
