I woke up a couple of days ago and I couldn't move it seemed for 10 minutes.
A really odd feeling.

Damn time change messing with my sleep.

There is no shortage of 98-pound dudes on Reddit bitching about sleep paralysis.

I had it once, for a few seconds. Hated it. I've paid more attention to my sleep habits since then.

Have had it twice... both times scared the hell out of me. 2nd time wasn’t paralysis though because I was beating the shite out of the curtains and wall when I snapped out of whatever the hell happened

Had it a couple of times about 20 years ago. Still remember it. Definitely odd and startling.

This is a joke about your mom not sleeping at all last night because of the paralysis brought about by the intercourse

I haven't, but my mom swears she was one time. It scared the hell out of her.

Technically, we all have sleep paralysis every time we go to sleep. At the deepest stage of sleep, our brains release a chemical that keeps us from moving and acting out dreams. Most mammals have it. Scientists have removed the gland responsible for this from dogs, and the dogs would get up while fully asleep and act out whatever they were dreaming.
The brain is a weird, still not fully understood thing. What we call sleep paralysis may well have to do with that chemical and stage of sleep being out of whack. Also, that is probably what Ambien screws with in alot of people.

I never seem to go a year without having sleep paralysis at least once these days.

I dance with the demon on a regular basis. You get used to it after a while but it still sucks to have a demon walk into your room and suck all the air out of your body while you lie helpless and paralyzed.

A lot of people see demons when they experience sleep paralysis, very scary. Get rich with God and you won't experience such things.

Yes this is very common, I suggest you pray very hard and go to church regularly and you will be protected from the demon.
Repent and you shall be saved, I will pray for you.

Yeah, was a period in time where I was effected by it to an uncomfortable point where I didnt want to fall asleep and deal with it.

Strange things like that happen to me, one time about 10 years ago for about 2 weeks about everytime I fell asleep I had a horrible realistic nightmare which caused me to wake up. Was a long 2 weeks.

Between the ages of about 8-12 I had it constantly. I felt like I was being pushed down by the chest and couldn’t move. Also the feeling that I would leave the body and look down on my body from above. Also a weird kind of trance State when between consciousness and sleep that could be triggered by certain music while still awake. I dreaded all of it.

Also known as The Old Hag

Had it happen a few times as a kid. Never saw anything weird when it happened, just wasn't able to move for a minute or two.
