yeah, I'd gotten a box shipped. Wound up having to eat them on a plate and per this board's recommendation, started keeping them in the fridge. The apples were merely ok, needed more filling. The lemons were a joke. All of them were watery as hell.

Hubig’s were never great to begin with. They were just cheap and plentiful. The best ones were the ones in the pie tin.

More proof that the government ruins anything it touches. Even Hubigs Pies.

Hubig’s is a customer of mine. I inquired about the about the lemon pie issue with the watery batches and Drew shared that outside of getting the correct equipment again after the fire was that after 10 years, changes in FDA regulations has caused changes in the makeup of ingredients, basically the way some of the starches were made are now different and impact the pies differently now. He said he’s aware and working it correct the issue, he feels he’s gotten the balance correct again. He shared that the target date for more flavors is Mardi Gras, the same ingredient issue has arisen in other flavors.

I haven’t had any so I can’t opine but how about not put out a product until it’s right? Let’s blame the FDA for it instead? Also, don’t add new flavors until you’ve got the first two figured out. What a good way to ruin your reputation.

Means that the bitchers and complainers here who are like " oh, I took two bites and threw it away" are either outliers or are in some way full of watery shite
