Have neighbors ever called the cops on you ?

What's the best way to handle issues with an arsehole neighbor that solves everything by calling the cops ? Music, dog, kids playing, barbecues are all nuisances to him.

Yes. Parked beside neighbors garage on edge of my driveway. Hadn't had my truck up north that year and she thought someone stole it and dropped it there. Live way out in the country. State trooper was pissed because it was an hour drive.

Every few weeks throughout several houses in college. I think I could empty my .45 into the air at my house now and have nobody call the cops

Talk to the cops about it when they come. If the reasons that he is calling is illegitimate then they will be pissed that he's wasting their time too. It becomes a boy who cried wolf sort of situation. Maybe there are some kind of repercussions for making a bunch of bogus calls.

Yes, I tried this approach and asked them to look up his history , also I am sure that he may be calling on other neighbors other than me.
Cop didn't like it when I told them that I'm sure that they're more important things they could be doing instead of dealing with a security light that doesn't allow the arsehole to sleep at night .

No, but I was at a party once where the cops showed up 4 times.

The neighbor across the street called the cops on me. An officer showed up at my door to investigate. I asked what the problem was. The policeman said the woman across the street filed a complaint against me because I called her "Lady" and not "Mrs. P-----".
I was flabbergasted that an officer did not have enough sense to realize the woman was going senile.
I told him that I talked to her because she was walking around her yard in the rain in her nightgown. I was trying to gauge whether I needed to call her son to get her out of the rain. When she got huffy with me, I walked back inside the house and left her in the rain.
The officer said that I could no longer talk to her or her son.
So, if she flips out again, or falls down and can't get up, I can not call her son to bring her back inside......

My future mother-in-law called the cops on me. Her brother-in-law showed up in uniform and calmed her down. We never spoke of it again.
