What's the best way to handle issues with an arsehole neighbor that solves everything by calling the cops ? Music, dog, kids playing, barbecues are all nuisances to him.

We had a lady neighbor do this. Called cops for us 'selling drugs' b/c we had various friends over for weekends during LSU football season. She called the cops over poop in her yard.

I finally got through to the supervisor of the cops who showed up a couple times. Spoke with this one officer and they stopped showing up, just noting her calls and blowing her off.

Try that. And be VERY polite to the officers you call.

Huh? Im talking about a couple times a year when people are over for a party or game. Not everyday. Other than that, its my driveway. Btw, how would that be trashy to park on the street? I mean where else ya gonna park? Most people's driveways can handle only three cars. Btw, you sound like a blast to hang with

One of my neighbors called the police because a couple of my chickens were in her yard. They were scratching the pine straw around her pine tree.

I'm hoping there is more to the story that you are leaving out.

You are right! Her grown son (six inches taller than me and outweighed me by 50 pounds) told the officer I intimidated him and he was afraid of me.

They both knew I was bedridden most of the time with cancer and because of the chemo I couldn't even take his 80 year old mother in a fair fight.

I used to buy those people things for watching my house when I traveled before I got sick. I even bought them a new washing machine when theirs broke.

I guess when the money dried up, so did the friendship!

I have to admit they used to be the best friends money can buy.....

Sorry if any bitterness seeped thru my reply. I get bitter towards fair weather friends (which translates to stupid people).

I feel much better now.

P.S. The old lady would call the police all the time about any noise or any time she got nervous. The cops should already have had an idea of what they were getting into when they went to her house.

Yes, old guy next door we had history said I was "speeding" and called the cops, he came next door the next morning when I was leaving for school and blocked me in and ripped me a new one and threatened that if he ever saw me speeding again he would "drag me out my car and beat the f**k out of me" This was when I was a 17 so we called the cops on him and he got in trouble for verbally assaulting a minor. We could've pressed charges but we didn't. The dude moved out like a month later down the street cause he got a divorce. I have no pity for that arsehole I'm glad I might've been a factor in that.
